ISLAMABAD: Questioning the sudden entry of a Qatari prince in Panama Leaks case, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan claimed that the government was not ready to face the courts.
Talking to the media at Bani Gala Imran questioned the sudden appearance of the prince saying, “Nawaz forgot about the Qatari prince on three different occasions, so how does this letter come out all of a sudden? Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) representatives did their best to find loopholes in this case for 7 months (which they couldn’t). We collected a lot of evidence, but it is up to our lawyers to do what they think is vital for the court proceedings.”
The PTI chairman said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif delivered three speeches regard Panama Papers and none of them mentioned Prince Hamad Bin Jasim. Commenting on his recent visit to London, Imran Khan said that he had gone there to meet his sons, not to acquire evidences related to the Panama Leaks case.
“We appreciate Hamid Khan’s efforts for the party, but there was a lot of pressure on him. We have decided to announce a 4-member team for the legal proceedings. This team would appoint other people as per need,” he said.
Imran also said, “We have Naeem Bokhari, Babar Awan, Sikander and Maleeka Bokhari. From tomorrow onwards, we will start preparing for the upcoming case hearing. Our initial petition was filed by Naeem Bokhari, and he will lead the legal proceedings.”
Answering a question he said, “Hamid Khan has been with PTI for 20 years and will continue to be an by {PRODUCT_NAME}” href=”#93257007″> important part of the party. This case was not personal, it was for Pakistan and we are facilitating the courts as much as we can.”
